Blackmores Folate Tablets are a folic acid dietary supplement. It may reduce the risk of spina bifida if taken for 1 month before conception and during pregnancy.

Folate is an essential micronutrient involved in DNA synthesis, which means that without adequate levels of folate, cells cannot divide and replicate and growth is restricted. At times of increased cell growth (e.g. pregnancy), an individual's folate requirement increases. Folate deficiency during pregnancy increases the risk of neural tube defects in the infant.

Blackmores Folate Tablets should be taken with food;Adults: 1 tablet per day or as prescribed;Children: Only as prescribed by a medical professional;Do not exceed the stated dose as prescribed by your doctor.
